We Trainspotters Lighting have been doing this since the early 2000s, a dark age when the lighting market was largely bland and generic, the industrial lighting aesthetic being just a twinkle in a few forward-thinking designer's eyes. Trainspotters founders Jesse Carrington and Tony Brook first met eyes across a crowded bar in a pre-gentrified Shoreditch. Working for architectural salvage pioneers Lassco they spent their days scouring the underbelly of London for interesting reclamation, filling a crumbling warehouse off the back of Old Street with everything from piles of humble Victorian door handles to reconstructed Georgian panelled rooms.

We are based in an historic woollen mill set in the Slad valley, on the outskirts of Stroud. Woollen mills were the backbone of life in this beautiful area, producing the red cloth that made British military uniforms and still producing green snooker table baize to this day. Through the 20th century many of these iconic buildings started falling into disrepair and New Mills was one such victim. It has however now risen like a phoenix from the ashes, providing the ideal set up for Trainspotters. Along with ample storage for our extensive stock we have a large and characterful showroom to showcase our lighting range.

Trainspotters has years of experience working with contractors large and small and we pride ourselves on our ability to deliver reliably and efficiently in time-sensitive scenarios. And so we make it our mission to hold extensive stocks, meaning we are in a position to supply large quantities and can supply the same fitting to multiple roll outs. We can offer bespoke finishes and electrical solutions as required and all of our light fittings are tested to the necessary BSEN & CE standards in our own workshops.

From family homes to top-end architectural masterpieces, we've been supplying domestic lighting near and far since 2005. The right lighting can set the tone and the feeling of a home more than some might expect, so it's an important detail to get right, even if it feels like a painful expense at the end of a long build. All of our lights are supplied wired and tested and with the full hanging kit, ready for your electrician to install.

The thousands of industrial light fittings that we reclaimed from Fort Dunlop and the Rover car plant in Birmingham were what really kick-started the business back in 2005. We've supplied industrial lighting to shops, bars, restaurants, offices, casinos, co-working spaces and homes all over the world. We focus on our favourite classic designs, admiring them for their enduring style and functionality.
