Generally a more economical gate automation system than the underground system, Hydraulic pistons or Electro-mechanical rams are mounted on the back of each gate leaf.
Our timber gates are carefully fabricated with this in mind and always have a minimum finished thickness of 65mm. Wentworth Gates supply wooden gates made from either classic Oak or one of two hardwoods; Iroko or Sapele. These are finished in a clear basecoat with two coats of undercoat and then a topcoat wood preserver, ensuring extra longevity. We selected Iroko & Sapele for our premier range of timber gates as they are recognised as being two of the world's most durable woods, having a low shrinkage factor and good natural resistance to moisture and decay, making them an excellent choice when selecting high quality, automatic wooden gates that will stand up to the unpredictable British weather.
As sliding gates are embedded into a track this means they can offer more security than traditionally opening driveway gates. Sliding gates can be created with two leaves joined together, creating the illusion of a pair of swing gates, which will however slide only in one direction. Maintenance Contracts run for either 1 year or 3 years subject to a Site Visit to Inspect your Gates & Assess the general health of the Automation, Access Control etc. The Contracts cover you for 3 Non Chargeable Callouts per Annum and any parts required are quoted for. It is normal that your annual Maintenance check would be approximately 6 months following the initial inspection visit. Parts will be charged at Trade Prices for everyone who commits to a 3 year maintenance contract. This equates to a 20% discount off all mechanical and electrical parts during the entire term of your contract.
