Established in 1994, Windows Of Distinction are a family business based In Teignmouth, Devon. We strive to offer a service second to none supplying and installing high quality, high security Upvc, aluminium and timber products backed by an excellent guarantee. Maintenance is always an issue with traditional timber windows, with warping sashes causing draughts and sticking, and paint always needing redoing. Not with timber windows from Windows Of Distinction. We use the renowned bespoke, Bereco engineered timber range of products. Specifically designed to resist warping and twisting due to the nature of their manufacture, and the fact that they come fully painted from the factory means that we can offer an exceptional 10 year warranty on these windows - even on the paint finish!

Whether you want a Upvc back door or maybe a Solidor Composite door, you can be sure that you will have high quality, high security products. For example, we are one of a select few companys that fit the new Ultion high security door barrel as standard in our products.

Stable doors are very versatile and are a popular addition to many homes. Leaving the top half open in the summer months for ventilation whilst still leaving a barrier in place can be very useful, particularly if you have pets. Our Upvc stable door is an extremely popular option. Using one of our high security doors but with a tilt and turn window sash in the top pane, this versatile door gives you the added benefit of being able to tilt the top of the sash inwards for ventilation, or of course opening it fully for the stable door effect.

Available in aluminium or timber, Bifolding doors are a great way of opening up your home to take advantage of Summer. These can be fitted into an existing opening, or we can create a larger opening for you if necessary. Bifolds vary in size from two panels up to seven wide.

Although sounding fairly industry standard, we believe that our guarantee tops most others. The reason is simple - most other companys exclude hardware operation and sometimes glass unit failure from their 10 year guarantees, glass units can be five years and hardware (handles, locks, hinges etc) can sometimes be just 12 months! But these are the things that go wrong.

Serving the South West from our Teignmouth base, Windows Of Distinction offer high quality, high security windows and doors. We use the very latest multi chamber Upvc combined with 28mm high insulation double glazed units, thus giving an A rated window as standard. You can increase specification further by opting for our 36mm triple glazing. Our frames are made from the new 70mm thick Profile 22 Optima fully sculptured, decorative edge profile. If you wish you can change this for the chamfered profile, giving cleaner lines.

We have a huge range of made to measure Upvc doors available in a variety of finishes with a range of handlefinishes. No matter what style you choose we will not compromise on security, with multi point security hook locks as well as the Ultion high security door barrels. Your door can be customised to suit you, as it is completely made to measure you can specify exactly what style you want, down to the obscurity of the glass and colour of the handles and door itself. As always, security is our number one priority so whichever door you choose you get high security long reach multi point hook locks and the anti snap Ultion Door Barrel.

Gone are the days of the old fashioned aluminium windows dripping with internal condensation. Our aluminium windows feature an extra wide thermal break in the frame, so when combined with our high insulating glass units give excellent thermal performance.

Energy rated windows are a relatively new concept in the double glazing industry, but based on the same principles and style that have been used by "white goods" manufacturers for many years. AtWindows Of Distinction in Teignmouth we use high insulating glass units to create "A" rated windows as standard. We achieve this by using the latest 6 chamber Upvc profile, the Optima system from Profile 22, along with 28mm thick double glazed units sporting Planitherm Total+ insulating glass to the inner pane, argon gas filled cavity and "warm edge" spacer bars to vastly reduce the cold transfer from outer pane to inside that is associated with the usual silver aluminium spacer bar.
