Our spectacular Ultimate range of Railings, Driveway Gates and Estate Gates are crafted in-house using age-old blacksmithing techniques passed down over generations, combined with excellent modern engineering by our versatile ironworkers.

We have been installing electric gates for over 30 years and pride ourselves on always working within the current industry guidelines and legislation as set out by DHF and Gate Safe. There are always variations on what safety devices will be required from site to site so we do an individual risk assessment on that basis, ensuring that all areas where there is a risk of harm have more than adequate levels of protection. All of our installations come with a 12 month parts and labour warranty. Service plans are available for ongoing maintenance at an affordable price to keep your gates running just as they should.

All of the gates we create here at North Valley Forge can be fully automated to make your driveway more secure and hassle free. You'll never have to open your gates whilst standing in the rain again! We work with world leading brands such as Chamberlain LiftMaster, BFT, FAAC, Beninca, HyDom, Videx, AES and Farfisa to offer a complete range of gate automation for any home or commercial property. If you come to one of our showrooms, most of the gate displays have electric motors and a range of intercoms so we can show you what combination of systems might work best for your home or commercial property.

Nelson in Lancashire is the home to Europes largest electric gate showroom. We have a large selection of our gates & railings on display which are automated using a variety of different methods to give you a real feel for the quality of our work along with how automation might work for you. With both wooden and wrought iron gates on display it makes choosing your ironwork even easier. This showroom is also our factory where we fabricate all of our stunning ironwork. When choosing what kind of gate opening style you need, there are a few important factors to consider. Swing gates open inwards on to your driveway. If space is at a premium, meaning that parking space will be limited if you need to allow for swing gates then you may want to consider a set of sliding gates instead. In order to have a sliding gate installed, you need to have the equivalent space, the width of your gate to the side of your entrance for the gate to slide back against when open. Alternatively to traditional sliding gates, if you do not want to undertake groundworks across your driveway to lay tracking, you could consider using a cantilever system.

All of our gate automation installations come with a 12 month parts and labour warranty, however, many of our customers have asked us about extended warranties. In response to this, we have introduced 2 levels of service contract for residential gates which are both practical and affordable. Regular servicing and maintenance ensures many years of reliable service and also helps prevent future problems arising. In addition, the safety measures that have been installed on your automation will be fully retested to ensure that your electric gates remain as safe as the day they were fitted, in line with current HSE (Health & Safety Executive) & DHF (Door and Hardware Federation) recommendations.

North Valley Forge don't just make wooden gates! We create stunning gates with timber set in decorative metal frames. With optional wrought iron scroll details and finishing touches, they are far from ordinary. We exclusively use an exotic hardwood in our gates which provides a beautiful but hard-wearing finish. If privacy is your main concern, wooden gates shield your home and family from view whilst being an attractive addition to your driveway.
