Steel palisade fencing, although not as popular as it was, is still a very secure method of perimeter protection. The most common pale top finishes are triple point for maximum security, or rounded and notched. Other top configurations are available. As of June 2004, CCA ( copper, chrome, arsenic ) treated timber was banned by the European Commission ( directive 76/769/EEC ). This had a detrimental impact on the fencing industry, as it was unknown at the time what the results of the new treatment would be. It is now known that the use of mixed species timber for ground contact is not viable due to the uptake of the tanalising fluid by the cell structure of the timber. As a result of this, we offer ground contact timbers in 3 differing formats to try to cover different budgets and applications.

Primarily used in the equine sector as a method of field division, electric can easily be used as a permanent and cost effective field boundary. Mains, battery and solar energisers are available and will provide years of trouble free service if correctly installed. Electric fencing has many advantages over conventional fencing. Firstly, it's economical advantages. 50% less labour to erect, and large savings to be had in material costs. Electric fencing is also much easier to install than conventional fencing meaning that most people will be able to self erect for further savings.

As you can see from the pictures below, of fences we have done in the past, they can be finished in many different ways. All our timber is Tanalised and therefore little to no maintenance is required to keep your fence upstanding. Please see a list of materials available in our online store or alternatively call us for an accurate quote.

There are many different variations to wire fencingand the best to suit you is all dependent about what you are fencing in/out. High Tensile Wire - This is most commonly used by contractors and farmers. The reason for this is its excellent longevity to protect your stock. This wire can be strained tighter than mild steeland will stay tight so no need for any up keep. Further benefits to this mean fewer posts are required and therefore cutting the costs down significantly. Mild Steel - The is can be classed as slightly easier to work with as it is more flexible.

Here at Hartlington Fencing we offer a wide range of gate hangings and fastenings enabling you too hang your gate successfully. All our gate fastenings and hangings are galvanised to EN ISO 1461 specification meaning they will last for 25 years plus. If your unsure of the correct hangings and fastenings for the gate you are hanging then call our sales team and we will be happy to advise you on the best solution.

Wether you require a gate for access to your paddock or a gate along a bridleway we have everything you require here. All our wooden gates are tanalised to last a long time. We also provide the correct hangings and fastenings (see our online store) so that you can stay on your horse and still open the gates. Hung correctly to swing easily these gates can last over 20 years. Galvanised gates are also an option. Not just as attractive as a wooden gate, however they are galvanised and will last longer.
