We love this place! It's an excellent garden centre, with friendly, helpful staff, and also a really good cafe. Then there are the stunning views! Even if you don't need garden stuff or a meal, it's worth going there for tea/coffee and just enjoying the glorious landscape. One of our favourite places.
Fantastic restaurant in an amazing picturesque setting. The food and the views are utterly wonderful. We found this place while searching for somewhere to have Sunday lunch with a Gluten Free menu, and wow did we find something special. The food both normal and gluten free was second to none. Amazing choices for all dietary needs. The staff were all extremely inviting and friendly. They were all more than happy to talk about their home cooked food and the attached garden centre. We are more than happy to give this wonderful place a 5star review and cannot wait to return.
I've been to The bistro before and always enjoyed it. However yesterday we prebooked our table but had to wait around 40 minutes for our food. The food was nice but I thought waiting that long for a cold ploughmans lunch was ridiculous. Also the service was not as good as I've experienced previously. Plates only cleared away when dessert was brought to the table making it awkward to find space for the plates! No napkins with sticky desserts, no fork for a cake. Disappointed
