From initial quote and consultation, through to manufacturing and installation, our friendly team of experts take care of you, every step of the way. Dedicated to supporting the UK economy and reinvesting in other British businesses, truhouse. Working only with the best of British design and craftsmanship, we take pride in the details others often overlook. Every job is important to us, so we do all of the installation ourselves - no outsourcing or subcontracting here! Our window and door replacement installation teams are as invested in quality and service as everyone that you meet when engaging with truhouse.

One of the longest-standing home improvement companies in the south west of England, truhouse. Since the day we opened our doors as The Stroud Window Company in 1982, a family-owned and operated double-glazing company, we've looked for ways to bring affordable quality, beauty, and simplicity into people's homes and everyday lives. Putting people first, our friendly experts get to know you before recommending, supplying, and installing windows and doors inspired by how you live, work, and play - so you're inspired to live well.

Aluminium is very versatile and all frames are thermally broken so condensation cannot travel through the metal. Think good old-fashioned quality and craftsmanship has to be expensive? Think again. After 38 years testing hundreds of windows and doors, we've found premium quality without the premium price tag, right here in Britain. The way you live isn't one-size-fits-all, so why should your windows be? Choose from 4 window styles, 490+ colours, 3 finishes, a wide range of matching hardware, standard or decorative glass, double or triple glazing, optional trickle vents, any size and configuration.

Usually fitted at the back of properties as patio doors or the main rear entrance door, they combine practicality with a stylish, ‘outdoor living' look. The large glazed area lets lots of light flood into your home and provides unrestricted views, letting you enjoy your garden in any weather. Also able to be opened wide, french doors are perfect for entertaining or moving large items in or out of your house. With each and every french door made to measure by our team of specialists and tailored to complement your property and personal taste, there are no limitations to the homes that they suit.

A modern window design, tilt and turn windows are hinged on two sides of the frame and can be opened inwards (into your home) in two versatile ways. In the 'tilt' position, the window is hinged at the bottom, so that it opens towards you from the bottom (with the top of the window angled into the room) with a pull motion. In the ‘turn' position, the window is hinged at the side, so that it opens similarly to a casement window, but with a pull motion. The ‘turn' function allows for a wide opening and maximum air circulation, whereas the 'tilt' function allows for top ventilation (cutting back on strong breezes, preventing rainwater from entering your home, and making an excellent night opening).

I recently changed my front door and used truhouse. The service was fantastic at every stage, from completing the initial quote, to the survey and the final installation. The staff were always professional and friendly and made the whole experience easy and hassle free. We had our windows replaced because our home was freezing! The new uPVC windows and doors that we had have made such a difference to the look of our home too. We were worried about being ripped off so really liked the honest pricing.

Sliding sash windows, also referred to as vertical sliding windows or vertical sliders, are windows with two sashes (the opening part of a window) that open by being slid up or down vertically within the surrounding frame. The only style of window that can be opened at both the top and the bottom, sliding sash windows provide great ventilation, as warm air is drawn out of the top while cooler air is drawn in through the bottom. Your choice of traditional pulley and weights system or more modern spring/spiral balance system is concealed within the frame and perfectly counteracts the weight of the sliding sash panel, to create smooth and effortless operation, and keep the sashes open at your desired height.

Although timber requires more of an upfront investment than other materials, some would say that the advantages they offer are priceless. When maintained correctly, timber windows and doors can offer an eco-friendly and traditional solution that will last you decades. Think good old-fashioned quality and craftsmanship has to be expensive? Think again. After 38 years testing hundreds of windows and doors, we've found premium quality without the premium price tag, right here in Britain. The way you live isn't one-size-fits-all, so why should your doors be?

Bi-fold doors are a set of two or more glass doors that are joined together by hinges. Opening in or out, or left or right in a concertina style, bi-folds neatly fold flat against the wall when fully open, and are a great alternative if you don't have room for traditional french doors that swing open. It is common for bi-folds to also incorporate what's known as a traffic door - a single door that can open independently of the bi-fold, preventing the need to fully open your bi-fold when you want to pop in or out of the opening quickly.

A bay window is a combination of three or more individual window units that are connected and fitted to a section of brickwork* that projects out from the main wall or walls of your home. A popular feature of homes across Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, and surrounding areas since the end of the 19th century, installing a bay window is an easy, cost-effective way to maximise the level of natural light in a room, and add valuable extra living space to your home without having to undergo major house extension or renovation work.

At truhouse, we believe in keeping things simple and transparent. We offer 3 funding options that can be tailored to your preferences and budget, giving you flexibility and control over how you pay for your replacement windows and doors. Pay for your new windows and doors with your own funds - be it savings, a credit card, a personal loan, etc. We take a 50% deposit when you place your order and sign your contract, and you pay the final balance (the remaining 50%) on the day of installation. Both the initial deposit and final balance are paid directly to us by you on receipt of invoice.

We hear you - double glazing has a bad reputation, and the quality of home improvement products and services can vary widely between companies. That's why it's so important to ensure you engage a company whose standards are endorsed. With the support of our employees, partners, and relevant industry bodies and glazing associations, we are challenging the norm and paving the way forward with professionalism, quality, transparency, and sustainability at the forefront of all that we do. The Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme (FENSA) is the largest and longest-standing government-authorised scheme that monitors building regulation compliance for replacement windows and doors.

If you have any issues with your replacement windows and doors, that have arisen as a result of manufacture or installation, we promise to repair or replace them for up to 10 years after the installation date. Most installation companies fit windows and doors sourced from a manufacturer or fabricator. All reputable manufacturers and fabricators will offer installation companies warranties that cover specific parts of the windows or doors supplied to them - a promise to repair or replace these parts should a problem develop within a specific period of time after being installed.

Casement windows, also referred to as lipped casement windows or stormproof windows, are hinged on one side of the frame and open outward with a push out motion/operation. Different to flush casement windows, the edge of the sash (the opening part of the window) has a lip that sits proud of (overlaps) the surrounding frame. Casement windows were originally designed in the 1950s to offer a solution to the problem that affected many early designs of flush casement windows; leakage. The lipped edge of the casement window prevented the sash from going further into the frame (forcing it to sit on the face of the frame) and added an additional layer of sealing and protection from the rain - hence often being described as stormproof casement windows.

Flush casement windows, less commonly referred to as flush sash windows, are hinged on one side of the frame and open outward with a push out motion/operation. Different to standard casement windows, the sash (the opening part of the window) sits flat (flush) with the surrounding frame. Increasingly the popular choice for homeowners, flush casement windows blend traditional 19th century styling with modern performance, delivering a low maintenance, authentic look with the superior energy efficiency and security assurance that you should demand from new window installations.

Patio door is a term usually associated with sliding doors. With each and every sliding patio door made to measure by our team of specialists and tailored to complement your property and personal taste, there are no limitations to the homes that they suit. Some of the properties that we've installed in include contemporary, modern, and new build homes, as well as period or traditionally styled homes. The choice is endless, as is our devotion to you and your household efficiency and security. Think good old-fashioned quality and craftsmanship has to be expensive?
