In the late 60s I was a sub 10 year old and would walk down from Morris Green to the old Derby Street shop to buy various discrete components. as I got older I started learning about thermionic valves and probably drove the ladies crazy getting various valves tested as I attempted to get old TVs working. Their apparent endless patience for a young lad who was eager to find out what these new fangled 'integrated circuits' and 'light emitting diodes' were all about instilled a love of experimentation in me, that now works so well in the 'maker' climate. I've lost count of the number of people I've sent along to Modern Radio when asked for a recommendation. I must get along to the new shop one of these days.;
Fantastic shop, i just wish I had known about it sooner.
A big thanks to all the ladies at modern radio who managed to source some parts for me to take out to a good friend in South Africa, they did it in record time with the minimum of fuss-well recommended THANK YOU!
