I recently purchased a Tuscany Spa Couch from REM through Salons Direct. After payment of over 1300 was deducted from my account REM then released their heavy duty procedure notice! A whopping 108kg boxed spa couch that could not be taken apart was going to be sent to me. Oh my God! I immediately contact the supplier to find out how I could manage this bed up 3 flights of stairs and was advised once the box arrived that I could take pieces of the bed apart to walk up the 3 flights of stairs. I did every thing possible to manage this as once you've paid for the furniture there is no refund! I was informed that REM would notify me of the delivery so that I could have 3 or 4 muscle men to help me hike this monstrous bed up the stairs. After not hearing back for over two weeks I contacted Salons Direct (supplier to REM) for an estimated delivery date and was told by Gemma that it would be any day! The very next day without warning a courier arrived with the Tuscany Spa Couch without any notice whilst I had a patient waiting in reception expecting me to lift 108kg off the road and up to my door that had 3 steps to hike up. There was only 1 driver, he had no help and I had no notice. I realised I couldn't take the couch up and seeing that the couch could not be taken apart on the main road I sent the driver back with the boxed bed. Upon checking he delivery instructions I noticed that he didn't have my correct mobile number. I was told the next day that the driver did call me from REM and that the bed was delivered anyway! Absolutely ridiculous! How could he contact me with the incorrect number and how do REM expect people to handle 108kg of furniture when their courier cannot even manage the bed to the building! It's taken me 3 weeks to receive a partial refund. REM have had the cheek to charge me 175.50 (inclusive of VAT) for an attempted delivery that I never knew about. Nefarious accusations and lies told from REM to Salons Direct is that I unpacked the 108kg couch myself and that the bed had to go back unboxed! Ok I might have been pretty hot in crossfit but this is insane! I am now forced to take this to Trading Tribunal and Citizens Advice Trading Standards to retrieve all my money back! Absolutely appalling service and very disappointed to the lack of information in packaging prior to payment being deducted from my account and to be told by REM they accept no refunds, even if it is their fault. I will NEVER purchase from this company again!

REM supplied our furniture for our new salon. Coastal Hair in Weymss Bay We are absolutely delighted with the the REM products. They are very good quality with a contemporary look. Thanks alison@coastalh air
