My late father came from Holland in 1933 during the depression and started a mail order bulb business. He came from three generations of bulb growers and exporters. Since then, J.Parker's has prospered into probably the largest UK horticultural mail order company - solely owned and managed by the original family. Our mail order service offers great value for money and effective IT and despatch - resulting in an efficient service to our customers. As our business grew, we opened three garden centres in Manchester, Cheshire and Lincolnshire.

Our garden centres are widely known for being great value for money, having friendly, knowledgeable staff, and stocking an extensive range of planting and horticultural products. We work hard to make our centres enjoyable places to visit and we are pleased to have fantastic coffee shops at each centre, boasting a good range of freshly cooked meals, homemade cakes, hot drinks and more!

During that time Parker's Garden Centres have built up an enviable reputation for being great value for money, having friendly and knowledgeable staff on hand, and stockingextensive range of plants and horticultural products for our customers. Our Flixton and Anwick centres have both been recently rebuilt to offer a truly spectacular selection ofgardening tools and accessories, plants, gifts, and gardenaccessories. They also house a cafe each to complete your visit with amouth watering range of home-cooked meals, cakes, and beverages.

We went and had lunch there on Tuesday the 25 September as they were starting a new Tuesday Set menu, I had the Lambs liver with Mash and Veg and my Husband had the cottage pie with Veg, for dessert I had the Apple crumble and custard and my husband had chocolate bread and butter pudding. We really enjoyed our meals. Thank you Angelo for the new menu. The restaurant is heading in the right direction again now.

I visited the spire this afternoon for a cool drink and a scone, my 'cream scone ' was made with aerosol cream which disappeared within 2 mins of my receiving it. Not impressed! The scone itself was quite dry. Will not be going back!

Very poor service today in the cafe. Arrived at 12.50 order placed at 12 53pm, the notice displayed a 20 - 30minute wait, our meal arrived at 1.50pm. The omelette I ordered was missing the salad and was undercooked in the centre yet burnt on the bottom as were the panninis that my parents ordered. I know they were busy but this level of service is unacceptable. A visit to Ruskington garden centre would show how much things could be improved at Anwick.
