Macleod & Buchanan is a family run Building Contracting business which has been established on the island since 1925 and has spanned three generations. In the mid 1970s Stornoway Glass Co. was formed and runs side by side providing all types glass & glazing services inc. We pride ourselves in providing a high quality service at competitive rates to a large customer base of private, commercial & industrial clients. The services we provide include internal / external building maintenance, improvements / alterations, conversions, roofing, fibreglass systems, bespoke joinery, doors, stairs etc. and a 24hr emergency call out service is available to all our clients.
Stornoway Glass Company was established in the 1970s as a result of demand from our customers to provide a glass stockist and glazing services on the islands, from its small beginnings which consisted of supplying standard clear & obscure glass we now carry a large range of all types of glass & glazing materials. We also manufacture our own double glazed units at our premises which means we can produce if necessary a replacement unit within the day, this is a great advantage as normally the lead time can be up to 2 weeks.
