Designer Metal is based in Elmsett in Suffolk, England. Started in the nineties, by Xavier Cooper, it originally offered bespoke iron work projects to private clients. Since then it has become one of the main providers of country iron work in the UK. We now specialise in Estate Fencing & Metal Tree Guards. Every year we install many miles of traditional estate fencing, all of which is manufactured by us in our workshops in Suffolk. We are very proud of our range of metal tree guards and have refined our manufacturing process to such a degree that we now go toe to toe on price with importers, whilst still offering home grown quality.

A bunch of crooks. Bought a set of tyres off them, sent courier to collect and been accused of trying to pay with counterfit banknotes! Refused to discuss situation or go to the bank and cancelled auction transaction quickly! What a joke! Made me very upset and lost money as had to pay courier for his job.
Been a while since i have last posted. With Covid restrictions making it logistically difficult for installations i though i would share a few photos taken in the workshop in January. Drop Bars being made. A very pretty little bespoke gate made on the same radius as the fencing circle it will sit.

First time out Fencing in earnest this year. We have done a couple of smaller jobs but weather has made it hard to get out. Really enjoyed this 270m, style 2, Estate Fencing installation just outside Harwich. Its being painted today and will have taken us 3 days in total.
