Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) work by transferring heat absorbed from the outside air to an indoor space, such as a home or an office via the wet central heating systems to heat radiators and provide domestic hot water. Heat pumps work in the opposite way to a refrigerator. By absorbing heat and efficiently transferring it to another temperature, subsequently, 60% saving on heating costs can be achieved. They can also work as a cooling system in the summer months. An air source heat pump is placed outdoors at the side or back of a property.
