Using petrol pressure washers with 200 bar pressure, we can tackle most jobs including paths, walls, patios and driveways. We also carry 600 litres of water in the back of our van, so if mains water is not readily available, we can still get most power washing jobs done.

We can clean gutters and down pipes inside and out with the help of our staff, ladders, power washers and in some cases where the gutters are too high for conventional methods and where space allows it, we will bring in the cherry picker. Leaves, moss, dead birds and all manner of debris can collect inside gutters, which can block the free flow of water and can lead to dirty water spilling out and down the walls, which could cause damage to the brickwork. If debris and water get trapped inside the gutter, it can freeze and form blocks of ice, which will put a strain on the gutters, gutter brackets and down pipes.

Areas we currently work in are Stornoway, Point, Tong to Tolsta, North Lochs (Grimshader, Ranish, Crossbost, Leurbost, Cameron Terrace, Keose, Laxay and Balallan) and from Achmore to Carloway and round to Barvas. We clean the outside of windows and the frames, using purified and deionised water (leaving windows streak and spot free) and water-fed poles which extend so that we can clean up to 3 floors in height, from the ground. We can do a one-off or a regular clean every 4 or 8 weeks. Benefits to the water-fed pole are that it eliminates the need for ladders which reduces health and safety hazards; as it is a lightweight aluminium pole, many areas that are normally difficult to access can be reached and cleaned; privacy is maintained as the operator is on the ground floor.

Due to the current situation with the coronavirus, Heb Alpha has ceased all window cleaning, power washing and gutter cleaning since last week. Our service users stopped coming to work on Tuesday 17th March. We are keeping in touch with them every few days to ensure that they are doing ok and to.
