Established in 1975, KDM has developed as a specialist Timber and Forest Products Company, supplying a variety of sectors including Pallet & Packaging Manufacturers, Shed & Stable Manufacturers, Timber & Builders Merchants, Joinery & Furniture Manufacturers and Fencing Manufacturers & Merchants. 2004 saw the beginning of our business in Swedish Energy Efficient Houses under our Svenskhomes division throughout the UK, Ireland, France and Spain. Today, we not only supply these houses but build them as well.
In October, shareholders were invited to vote on a Cash and Share Offer for the issued shares in KDM by KDM Timber Limited, a recently incorporated company established by the Directors and employees. Over 87% of shareholders accepted the Offer and in November, 2012, 100% of the company returned into the ownership of the directors and employees of the company. KDM takes early action to implement steps to mitigate the effects of the banking crisis and worldwide economic downturn. KDM opens its second distribution depot in Bury St Edmunds to facilitate the growing Manufactured Garden Products business.
