Established in 1868, our family business has been providing high-quality building in and around Oxfordshire for five generations. We are proud of our history, our founder Thomas Henry Kingerlee was a plumber living in Banbury. With one of his great, great-grandsons, David Kingerlee - Chairman, still involved in running the business today. Supported by a loyal and competent supply chain, our experienced workforce of 100 people have the combined skills to undertake historical and modern building projects up to the value of £35 million.

Our range of expertise includes extensions and refurbishment of civic and educational establishments, new corporate headquarters for local businesses and renovation of ancient and historic buildings. Within the group we have a very active residential and commercial development company and a bespoke Joinery Works which excels in producing high quality joinery. With 100 directly employed staff, Kingerlee nurtures and values the good interpersonal skills of its workforce, fostered by an open door and inclusive style of management.

Our construction team holds a wide portfolio of sustainable and environmental experience. In collaboration with The Prince's Foundation we have also been involved in a project to demonstrate the most effective route to a low energy and low carbon building, using natural construction materials. All of our projects will have an Environmental Risk Assessment before work commences, and targets are set for energy and water use. Where possible we will also look for ways to recycle and/or re-use materials.

Our Construction Division prides itself in providing clients with quality and service based on the following criteria. Project value: we typically undertake projects with values ranging from £0.5 million to £25 million. All Types of Procurement: including traditional, design and build, competitive and negotiated. Assured supply chain: we offer the support of an extensive and loyal team of proven subcontractors and suppliers. Education including Universities, local authority and public/private schools; individual high quality private houses; healthcare and research; leisure; public buildings including Churches and Museums; and bespoke commercial and residential developments.
