Griffin Interiors have been designing and making curtains, blinds and soft furnishings for over 20 years. Two years ago we re-located to a thatched barn giving us enough space to have our workroom, where we have a small team making beautiful furnishings, alongside a fabric and trimmings library with over 400 sample books. And off street parking too! We aim to take the furnishing side of interior design and make it approachable and accessible to everyone. It is your ideas that matter and we can work with you to make a home that works for you.
We love making cushions. They provide a chance to be creative and bring the detail out in the other furnishings in the room. Cushions are often the last stage of a project adding punctuation to a room. Sometimes new cushions can refresh a room or an extra cushion in the back of a chair can make all the difference to its comfort. Squab cushions for your kitchen chairs not only bring detail to the room but are life changing when it comes to comfort. They are available in all shapes and sizes with a wide variety of fillings from manmade hollow fibre or foam to the most luxurious 100% down feathers, all direct from the supplier.
Blinds are a flexible alternative to traditional curtains when choosing how to furnish your windows. They can be made in many different shapes, sizes and styles. Whether you are looking to use them in a line of large windows or as a statement piece to add character to your downstairs loo, we can help you find the blind for the job! You may decide to choose the simplest roller blind or a roman augmented by a pom pom trimming, maybe add a pelmet, but you can rest assured that we only use the highest quality materials and fittings which can then be fitted by our proffessional fitter if required.
We hand make a large selection of lined and interlined curtains using high quality materials to produce bespoke soft furnishings. We are always open to new ideas at Griffin Interiors and there is nothing we like more than incorporating old fabric with new to create a unique window solution for your home. Some of our clients come to us with curtains from their previous home which they can't bear to throw away, where as others have picked up a piece of vintage fabric but do not have enough material to make a blind. In addition, we are very happy to be approached about alterations.
