Went for breakfast today and was very disappointed. Usually it's very nice but not today. Picked our items they do the eggs to order so took our food into the back and got told they would bring it out. When the food came out the mushrooms where shrivelled up, the bacon had dried up and the fork won't go through and the egg was very over cooked. Won't be rushing back

Aug 01, 2017 Report
Garden centre very good, but the restaurant food is very expensive. I paid 8.95 for a carvery which was poor. For starters the plate was hardly warm, just one meat on offer (beef), the cabbage was crunchy and under cooked, the broccoli had yellow buds on it meaning it was on the turn, the Yorkshire pud was very chewy, and to top it all when I went to the cutlery, the first knife I picked up had a large portion of food on it left from a previous diner! I' m not the kind of person to complain, but this meal was very, very poor indeed. After, I decided to have a cup of tea at the cafe and picked a scone to eat, and would you believe the scone was exceedingly hard and difficult to slice, and when I did succeed found the inside very dry, and seeing it brown for four millimetres from the edge, mean't it had been over cooked.

My wife and I go out for meals 3 or 4 times a week at various establishments and never had cause to think, 'that's the last time we will go there again'. We might come to the garden side, but having a meal we will be very wary. Come on Fairways, you can and should do better. This all happened yesterday 31st August 2017.8
