Blocked Drains
Blocked drains can be a real nightmare. Even a small problem can build up quickly into a major issue if it's not dealt with quickly and efficiently. Often the first we know of a blocked drain will be flooding in our home or just outside the property. When water or sewage is flooding your property you need it dealt with as quickly as possible, and you need it done properly. Often when a drain is blocked we use DIY products and think we've dislodged the blockage, but then it comes back within a few weeks - or even a few days.
Sewer Cleaning
Sewer cleaning is not something you automatically think of when considering household maintenance, but it is something you will need to address at some point. Regular sewer cleaning is a necessity for maintaining a steady-flowing, blockage-free system. We tend to take our drains and sewers for granted, and only think of them when a nasty smell or suspicious leak occurs. For our customers what keeps these at bay is our regular sewer maintenance service. Sewers can come in all shapes and sizes and our engineers are equipped for all of them.

With drain lining we use inversion technology to seal and protect the inside of pipes. A spot patch can sometimes be used to repair a small leak, but this can often be a temporary solution especially if the original problem was caused by tree roots. Rather than apply a patch to fix an isolated issue in a pipe, we use drain lining. In this process, resin can be used to create a smooth and long lasting sealed lining all the way along a section of pipe. We use a method with felt infused with resin which is pushed into place without the need for full excavation.

Having a new drain installed begins with choosing the right product for the job from a crowded and sometimes confusing market. Luckily here at BlockBusters we have years of experience in new drain installations and we are happy to help with choosing the correct drain, and then to set it in place and connect the adjacent pipes. Drains come in many different shapes and sizes and occur with a surprising frequency around the home. You're probably most used to seeing those in your bathroom or kitchen, but there are plenty of others that we don't see every day.

Drain Maintenance Servicing Contractors

Irrigation Systems
Irrigation has a number of useful applications. We work mostly in drainage, which is the practice of taking water away - but sometimes there are ways of utilising this water to irrigate land. If you are currently using some form of equipment to water your land, it worth speaking to us as we will most probably be able to help with an irrigation system to allow you to use natural drainage of water from elsewhere on the property to irrigate your land. The primary use for irrigation systems is of course farming and agriculture, but some of our customers are normal homeowners who have a large garden to maintain and don't want a huge water bill.
Cctv Drain Survey
CCTV drain surveys are a great way to see into your drains without having to dig. The majority of your drainage pipes are underground, and if there's a leak or a blockage it can be tricky to know where to start. With a CCTV drain survey we use a winch and cable on a reel with CCTV equipment, which allows us to inspect every inch of your drains. A purpose-built camera is mounted at the end of the device, lit by LEDs to ensure a clear picture. This can be moved safely along drainage pipework until satisfactory footage has been obtained.

Leaving this review as I have had an awful experience with this company since the very first time they were called out. I would advise no one to deal with them - and to use a real plumbing company instead.
I called out Blockbusters to unblock a toilet on 17th November 2025.
The engineer attended - and unblocked the toilet - he then advised that parts would be needed - he would order them and would contact back in 2/4 weeks.
I received no contact back during this time and so contacted Blockbusters again to be told that I would have to authorise the purchase of the parts - and that this would be done by email - but that the company never sent me the request email. So already the completion of this job has been pushed back a month due to engineer incompetence.
Due to no parts being fitted my toilet blocked up again - I had the company out and they advised as I was still waiting for parts, that I would not be charged for this. Despite this advice I received an invoice a few days later - which I needed to call and dispute to have removed.
Finally - when the parts came in - I was booked in for parts fitting and a CCTV study on 7th January.
On 7th January - I called up multiple times to check when the engineer would attend - following the final call - I was sent an email confirming that they would need to reschedule the appointment as the engineer couldn’t attend. I called up and advised the phone staff that I have needed to take a day off work for this appointment which I have been waiting over a month for, and the phone staff confirmed that the invoice would be altered to reflect this suitably.
On 8th January the engineer attended and fitted the parts. This was done correctly. He also told me that he conducted a CCTV study and that I would receive a full report showing the damage to my pipes and weather further work would be needed.
When I received the invoice - it confirmed that the 'CCTV study was aborted due to tight pipework' - clearly advising that this job was not done - however the company were attempting to charge me for this.
Following the invoice being received - I called the company multiple times to dispute this. As not only did the invoice include the CCTV study which was not performed - it also did not have alteration for the additional day I took off which was confirmed on the phone. The phone operators advised me that I would be contacted about the issue.
I received no contact back despite multiple emails - multiple calls - and further requests for payment from Blockbusters.
On 19th February I send a full email response to Blockbusters explaining the situation and my request for payment alteration.
In the following weeks I received no contact back about the issue - so again called in March multiple times. I was given confirmation my email would be reviewed and I would be contacted back.
I received a response on 14th April confirming that the CCTV study had been removed from the invoice - and that they would offer a 10% discount on the remaining cost. However - the 10% did not account for the missing days wages. And so I emailed back again asking for them to review the calls I made to staff.
I again called the company to enquire about this and was advised to message 'Kitani Dalton'. I was assured she would review my full case - I have today received an email which goes over my points and completely ignores the lack of parts order from Blockbusters - as well as the fact that the CCTV study was not performed and has now been removed from the invoice. It feels like this situation just keeps getting more ridiculous and I am simply asking to not pay for services which were not provided and for the invoice to be lowered due to engineer failing to attend and causing me an additional days wages - which was confirmed with staff members on the phone at the time of the first planned appointment!

Max and Michael worked so hard to help us one evening. They were polite, professional and so determined to clear our blockage. After being inside and outside the property, attacking the object as best they could, Max finally said we have good news Michael was stood with the plastic toy carrot on the end of the device. Hooray! Thanks to all involved as the initial phone booking was friendly and reassuring too. Highly recommend.

Max and Sam from Blockbusters were absolutely fantastic. They unblocked not only the toilet, but also the outside drain and the kitchen sink, and handled everything with real professionalism. Both were really friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and patient throughout. They stayed until the job was completely finished and made sure everything was working perfectly before they left.
Im really happy with the work they did and would highly recommend Blockbusters, especially Max and Sam, to anyone needing reliable and thorough drain specialists.
