Badger cubs will be well above ground now and you may well encounter them as all places are quieter than normal. Badgers are part of the mustelid family closely related to the weasel. Starling numbers are thankfully increasing after years of decline. The once Common Starling flocks can numbers tens of thousands and the patterns they create in the air are called murations these patterns confuse predators and are usually performed as dusk approaches primarily around roost sites.
