In this case we supplied Classic Georgian tiles to be used on a private house in Guildford, Surrey. The house was being remodelled with the addition of a new extension. In a leafy street hidden away in Guildford stood a large detached family home, crying out for some TLC. The clients along with their architect came up with plans to bring this dated house back to life by extending and giving it an overall facelift. Large modern glazing taking advantage of the fantastic views across the downs along with the preferred choice of a modern white render to compliment the traditional choice of clay tiles on the main roof and tile hanging.

Heritage Clay Tiles Ltd are pleased to showcase the re-development of this private project based in Canterbury, Kent. Working closely with the contractor, Peter Black Ltd, we are pleased to see the stunning end results of this build, showcasing our Chilston Bracken Blend clay roof tiles. The additional first floor and aesthetic external design has created a delightful modern and spacious family home. Canterbury which is an historic English cathedral city and UNESCO World Heritage Site boosts an aesthetically pleasing vernacular dating back many years with buildings predominately built using clay brick and tile facades.

The client was looking for a roof that kept in age range of the property which is where Heritage Clay Tiles Ltd was able to offer the Conservation Weathered Handmade Tile. The Conservation handmade range was chosen due to its aesthetics in creating the desired sympathetic finish to the roof the client was aiming to achieve.
