Set up in 1977, Downfast Demolition was originally established to undertake projects in East Kent with high volumes of architectural salvage e.g. Bricks, Tiles etc which we cleaned, processed and resold back into the local market place. As time progressed, so did our reputation as an honest and fair family-run business, which spurred our growth in the construction industry and began our evolution into DDS Demolition, now a national demolition contractor. 40years later, as a national demolition contractor, DDS has grown significantly and undertakes projects across a wide range of sectors for an even broader range of clients, applying the experience gained from the demolition of structures such as condemned Multi-Storey Car Parks and Paper Mills to redundant Power Stations.

Being part of the 1948 Group, DDS Demolition are sister companies with TW Services, a market leadingwaste managementcompany. They recycle on average 96% of the 100,000 tonnes of construction and demolition waste they receive each year. DDS Demolition fully complies with The Environmental Protection Act 1990, which imposes statutory requirements to protect the local environment. In addition, we enforce our own policies that are tailored to each and every contract we undertake. Many of the contracts we undertake involve the remediation of contaminated land, which we manage carefully to reduce the risk of further pollution of the surrounding environment.
