Like most people, I think a kitchen with a large warm iron range is the heart of a home. The old-fashioned traditional range has the aesthetics, but like everyone I was frustrated at the high carbon foot print, excessive running costs and lack of control. As a design engineer my instincts kicked in and I set about, designing a new range of cookers.

15/06/24 na een wachttijd van 14 maanden is eindelijk mijn fornuis toegekomen en geplaatst, wat blijkt echter, er staan verkeerde deksels op
moest chroom zijn ipv zwart. het zijn amateurs die echt niet met hun job bezig zijn. voor mij nooit meer Thornhill.

Having had our cooker for 6 months now I can honestly say how wonderful it has been. It kept us nice and toasty through the winter and is now switched off and using the electric side only. Very easy to keep clean and absolutely LOVE the colour! The cooker is very controllable and I can’t recommend enough.

Heb mijn Fornuis besteld op 03/04/2023.
Het gevraagde voorschot bedrag betaald, maar tot op heden 14/04/2024 nog steeds geen fornuis ontvangen.
Nooit zal ik nog bij deze firma iets aankopen.
Zwaar ontgoocheld, ze houden nooit hun belofte wat betreft levering.

Really helpful with details about their stoves and answering all our questions. Delivery super efficient (we are in France). Our wood burner is just beautiful and we are enjoying cooking on it as well as the cosy heat to the room. It’s hard to find another wood burner like this with the double glazed door so you can see the flames but your legs aren’t melted.
Makes great toasted sandwiches:)
The dog also approves.

We had our Thornhill five oven wood fired oven installed just prior to Christmas. It works perfectly and the temperature is toasty for the barn.
Our varied range of Christmas food has been amazing and also the mulled wine.
Communication prior to purchasing was excellent, this continued keeping us up to date via email abd telephone which was always picked up promptly regarding building it and arranging delivery on completion .
The delivery team were very slick and professional.
We are definitely recommending.

I cannot recommend this cooker highly enough. I have to admit, I was worried about spending so much money on a cooker, but I wanted an aga type cooker that I could afford to run and with research, I thought the Thornhill cooker was it.
I have a three oven LPG gas Thornhill and it’s so efficient. This evening I was making elderflower cordial so I turned the Thornhill on and walked to the village to buy lemons for the cordial.
When I came back around 15 mins later, the range was hot, I made the cordial and turned it off and put a tuna steak in the oven.
The tuna cooked perfectly and even though the oven is off, it’s still hot, three hours later. Bearing in mind I’ve only had it on for around 30- 40 minutes, this is astounding.
My gas engineer was really sceptical about the cooker and the claims Thornhill make, but he’s also really impressed.
There may be some customer service issues that have been mentioned in previous reviews but I wouldn’t worry.
Graham is an honest gentleman and is a victim of his own success I think.
I had a problem with the range cutting out the first evening, which I emailed graham about and he got back to me the very next day. No problems since.
Really pleased with the cooker and it’s going to keep us so warm for very little gas in the winter.
I’ve included a picture - although the kitchen and chimney far from finished but you get the idea!

My eco-range is completely amazing - looks fabulous and cooks like a dream - everything I have cooked in it has worked brilliantly, and I have been cooking non-stop! It is so easy to get it up to temperature and keep it there. Having grown up with an Aga, I think it cooks better, and is easier to live with, because it doesn't lose heat at crucial moments.
We have had our wood fired range cooker for a year now and absolutely love it. The best for making bread and all other cooking and has transformed our draught chilly kitchen into the best room in the house.
This year I'm planning to install a wood burning stove designed by Graham Thornhill a burley hollywell 5kw and then as soon as I can I'm looking to get a eco range cooker 3 overn running on log wood can't wait
