In 1979 a friendship was born between Maurice Marshal MBE and David Whitehead, two very different characters but with a shared passion for theatre. They had a determination to put the needs of their customers first and to provide faultless technical services to theatres up and down the UK. Maurice and David met at the Northcott Theatre in Exeter, where Maurice was the Chief Electrician and David his deputy. The two friends took a decision in November 1979 to become business partners. Four decades on and although the name may be different our vision at SLX remains the same: to serve our customers as best as we can, deliver quality equipment and services, look after our staff and enjoy everything we do.
It's been an absolute pleasure working with SLX on countless of productions over the years. They offer an unrivalled service that is both streamlined and comprehensive. Briony and her colleagues in the hire team are always quick to respond and ever so helpful and accommodating to our needs, while their experts are always on hand to offer invaluable advice. The MDs Comedy Revue owes a great deal to SLX's continued support and we look forward to further collaborations between our two organisations in the many years to come.
Great couple of days! Even the cold warehouse didn't slow us down.
