During summer when our greenhouse's are ripe with the scent of tomatoes and other delights its easy to forget the impending maintenance but now whilst there is relatively little in the greenhouse its time to give it a clean out in time for early sowings in just a few weeks time. I tend to chose a mild day and empty the greenhouse of everything. I then sort through what's useful and what's really rubbish such as broken seed trays, snapped labels and other bits I kept 'just in case'. I then clean out the guttering before getting down to the scrubbing.
I would absolutely recommend this garden centre to anyone. I know absolutely nothing about gardening and plants yet the advice given by the staff mean even I can keep gorgeous flowers! I asked for a hanging basket that would keep colour and flowers all through winter, since October my hanging basket is still going strong, even with the snow and my awful forgetfulness regarding watering! I recently went back and was given even more advice regarding some flowers and trees and I am thrilled with my new garden bits! I will always return to this garden centre, great service, good quality and range of stock, reasonably priced and of course, an exceptionally cute dog!
We've had some great advice about plants here and bought a lovely Amelanchier tree in Autumn. Owners are very friendly and helpful, and have been kind enough to give us some Christmas tree off-cuts for making wreaths and other Christmas decorations 2 years in a row. Thank you :
