Based on the Hampshire/Berkshire border, Yew Tree Garden Centre is a family owned, independent garden centre, which has been owned and run by Doug and Claire Hall since 1995. With stunning indoor displays and superb all-weather plant area, you'll find ideas, inspiration and lots of advice from friendly gardening experts. With a Pet Shop, fabulous food and lots of free parking, all surrounded by lovely Hampshire countryside, Yew Tree Garden Centre is a great day out. We are easy to find, being 2 miles south of Newbury, just off the A34, and well worth a visit.
What a lovely garden centre. It's a halfway point for my friend and I to meet, and we have made it our meeting place. We meet st 11 for coffee, have lunch around 12.30, then another coffee around 3.30 before we go our separate ways! Staff are lovely and friendly, food is tasty - Brie and grape panini with a nice salad. Good selection of cakes and very good coffee. You can sit in or out - a nice sheltered area outside. There are some lovely different things to buy. We didn't have time to look all around, but will do so next time we meet! Strongly recommend a visit.

We love this weeks houseplant delivery. Lots to choose from - azalea, kalanchoe, fittonia verschaffeltii, and fabulous rhipsalis cassutha.
In this warmer weather, the scent today in the plant area from the Sarcococca - or Sweet Box - was fabulous. It is a wonderful evergreen shrub with lustrous, dark green leaves and sweetly scented, creamy-white flowers in winter. It is perfect planted near to a door or path where you can breath in.
Some gorgeous leaf colour in the houseplant area today. Houseplants are so good for our well being and even help to purify the air!
Very excited to see lots of new season perennials arriving. We know they will bring masses of colour to the garden this spring and summer.
