Usually, it is open every Easter and August for guided tours and at other times of the year for special events. Groups can visit year round by appointment. At Boughton you can also seeone of Britain's most outstanding collections of fine art, furniture, tapestries, porcelain and carpets.

Definitely worth a visit. I took a small group of school children, we were made to feel really welcome, the guide was amazingly informed and we had a great couple of hours in magnificent surroundings. Even opened the gift shop for us. highly recommend the chocolate fudge!
I went to the so called breath taking fireworks last night and was very disappointed. The acting and music was ok but as for the fire works breathtaking they were at best a poor show for such a huge cost. Please do not take your kids as they will be extremely board for 1 1/2 hours then see about 6 mins of very poor fire works. Complete waste of money.
Unfortunately we are unable to open this Sunday, which should have been our annual opening of the gardens and parkland in conjunction with the National Garden Scheme
