my name is stephen richards i have been sub contracting for this shower of s t for the last few months giving them total decorating excellance i was responcible for the staines (snag free job) moss bros and also the last moss bros job in Canterbury. Upon completion of the Staines job the managing director Martin Turner was that impressed by my work he asked me to decorate his house they also promised me the next moss bros contract and told me not to book any of my own work in all this only weeks before christmas 2013. So upon this request i didnt book any private work in so i could be available to work through november/ december for them. A few weeks passed and i heard nothing so spoke to one of there formen who told me they had used another company for the decoration of the moss bros store they had promised me. For the record this decorating company made a complete mess of the job, then in the second week of January i recived a phone call from project manager Richard Freeman appologising for everything saying they had made a big mistake in employing this other firm and would i consider working for them again but at cheeper rate of pay, reluctantly i agreed because as we all know January is a quiet period work wise. So i went and done the Canterbury job for them and once again delivered a total quality job for them on time i worked approximatly 208 hrs in 14 days to ensure this happened, which i am sure indicates to you my commitment iin my work. then came payment time and thats where these so called buisness people let themselves down massively. they have basicly stopped 195 out of my wages saying they wont pay for my travel home so deducted 4 hrs from my money, and also wont pay my fuel for travelling to and from the site whilst down there even though these muppets put us 10 miles away from the job in a 39 a night travel lodge. I hope this gives you some indication on how Martin Turner and his poject manager Richard Freeman treat there sub contractors. Good luck with your next moss bros store gentlemen how you get away with it is beyond me, but every dog has his day, look forward to seeing you both again VERY soon!
