We couldn't be more pleased with our new kitchen. The work involved knocking through a structural wall, removal of chimney breast, new door and window, creation of new utility room and new downstairs toilet, plus full new kitchen. These guys are real professionals and we always felt like we were in safe hands. I had my kitchen renovated by NMB and they were absolutely brilliant! My old kitchen was dark, cramped and freezing cold in winter, it's now light, spacious and with all the insulation and new radiator it will be toasty! We found NMB online and were impressed with the excellent reviews. We had a few people come around to give us a quote for our new kitchen but only Nev came and spent a couple of hours taking details and measurements, drawing up plans and gave us a very detailed quote within a few days. We have a very small kitchen but didn't want to lose outdoor yard space by extending as we use that a lot in the summer. This meant that our very small kitchen wasn't an easy job. We had got other building and kitchen firms to quote for the job but none of them approached it with the thought and time at the planning stage that Nev (and Eddy on the second visit) did.
He made suggestions about altering the layout which hadn't occured to anyone else who had seen the kitchen and it has made a world of difference. They aren't massive changes and you would really need to think about the space and the job to ever come up with quite minor adjustments that weren't horrible costly but make SUCH a beneficial change. The new kitchen now works so much better than the old in terms of worktop spaces and location of appliances.
We were really glad we chose the firm because otherwise we'd have paid good money to have the same less efficient layout put in again. North Manchester Builders got our job scheduled in really soon (we'd been afraid it wouldn't be possible before Christmas because we didn't decide to get the work done until the late summer/early autumn). As it was it was done by late November and we're now enjoying cooking in it so much more than we did in the old one.
We also found it really reassuring that the price agreed was what it ended up costing (no upward creep as we've experienced with other firms). We're very pleased and now the kitchen feels like it actually belongs to the rest of the house and is no longer the embarrasing bit we never got round to sorting because we couldn't find the right people for the job - we did, it was North Manchester Builders.
I've now recommended them to my Mum who before she found them had been waiting to fit a kitchen for about two years with an empty shell, again after being scared by other firms letting her down. She's going to finally have a kitchen in time for Christmas too! I'll put up some before and after photos if it allows me to add them later.

North Manchester Builders designed the perfect kitchen for my awkward house and Eddy did a brilliant job of fitting it. When we had a burglary they came to our rescue again and were extremely quick to come and help with quotes for a new window and doors. We have recently had a damp patch on the ceiling and agin received professional, quick and great value service. Good tradesmen are worth their weight in gold, I can't recommend NMB highly enough.
