A few loose and cracked tiles on the pitched roof were letting water through, and I didn't want any damage spreading inside.

I suffered with a leak that was unresolved from 3 different companies local to Biddulph they were happy to take my hard earned money on every occasion! so i did my research online and found Heritage Roofcraft Specialists, i decided to give them a call, Andrew organised a roof inspection free of charge and identified what appears to be a course of tile with inadequate overlap, the work was booked in good stead and since the required work had been completed which was in January 2026 ive had no further issues no water leaking no damp patches. Our flat roof over the extension in Alsager started leaking badly during last winter’s heavy rain – drips coming through the ceiling and a growing damp patch.
We were quoted eye-watering amounts for a full strip and replacement by a couple of bigger firms, so we were really worried about the cost.
Thankfully, we found Heritage Roofcraft Specialists through a local recommendation. They came out quickly, did a thorough inspection (including checking the drainage and insulation underneath), and explained the options clearly without any hard sell.
They said the membrane was still in decent shape overall, but there were a few failed seams, some ponding areas, and a couple of blisters that needed addressing properly.
They carried out a targeted repair: cleaned everything back, applied high-quality liquid-applied waterproofing system with reinforced fabric in the problem spots, improved the falls slightly to stop future ponding, and sealed all edges and outlets professionally. No need for a complete new roof at all.
The team were brilliant – arrived on time, worked efficiently, kept the mess to an absolute minimum (tarps everywhere and thorough clean-up), and the whole job was finished in just two days. Since then (through some proper downpours), not a single drop of water has come through. The roof looks smart and feels solid again.They saved us a fortune compared to a full re-roof, communicated everything brilliantly, and left us with complete confidence. They were brilliant from start to finish. The surveyor arrived promptly, climbed up, assessed the damage properly (not just a quick look), and explained exactly what the issue was without trying to upsell a complete re-roof.
They proposed a targeted, high-quality sealing repair using specialist flat-roof materials that would make it fully watertight again and give us many more years of reliable protection. I had a persistent leak in my roof that was causing real problems, so I called Heritage Roofcraft Specialists for help. From the very first phone call they were professional and reassuring. They came out the same week, gave a clear, honest assessment, and suggested a sensible two-stage approach: first making the entire roof watertight straight away to stop any further damage, then carefully re-roofing the small affected section for a proper, long-term solution.
The lads who did the work were absolute stars – polite, tidy, and really knew their stuff. They explained every step, used top-quality materials, and left the place spotless both times. The temporary fix held perfectly until the permanent re-roofing was done, and now the roof is completely dry, looks fantastic, and I’ve had no issues at all since.

I can't recommend Heritage Roofcraft Specialists highly enough! I've had a nightmare with a persistent roof leak for over a year—four different roofers came out, each one charged me a small fortune for temporary fixes that never lasted more than a few weeks. I was seriously considering a full roof replacement and dreading the cost.
Then I contacted Heritage, and they got it sorted on the very first visit. We couldn't be more thrilled with the work Heritage Roofcraft did on our Victorian terrace. The old slate roof was a nightmare – leaking, mismatched repairs, and losing tiles every winter storm. They completely re-roofed it using reclaimed Welsh slate to match the original, added proper breathable membrane (without spoiling the heritage look), and the lead valleys/flashings are works of art. The ridge tiles are dressed so neatly it looks like it's always been this perfect.The whole team were respectful of the house, kept everything immaculately clean, and even fixed a couple of minor gutter issues we hadn't noticed. Communication was brilliant from quote to completion – no surprises, no delays. If you're lucky enough to own a period property that deserves proper care, these are the people you want on your roof. Proper old-school craftsmanship with modern standards. 10/10, would use again in a heartbeat!
