Established in 2005, Acanthus is an interior design company based in Edinburgh's vibrant Bruntsfield. The Acanthus store opened in 2011 to offer our help to a wider audience. We believe that interiors must be beautiful, practical, comfortable and fun. Our aim is for the spaces we work on to feel natural and evolved rather than "designed". Our designers are always happy to help you, whether choosing the perfect lampshade or redecorating an entire house.

Acanthus home accessories include a varied array of amazing plant pots and vases, perfect for our artificial plants and succulents. We can help you style up your home with our interior design top picks. Mirrors, object d'art and unique pieces add depth and interest to your scheme. Inject the WOW factor!

Easy to use and extremely hard wearing, our General Finishes Paints and Glazes will help you to upcycle unloved pieces of furniture. We also have a fabulous collection of unusual knobs toadd the finishing touches. Whether you are looking for a stylish new side table or are planning to revamp a tired bookcase - we have the solution for you.

The Acanthus Interiors soft furnishing collection includes our exclusive cushions, handmade in Scotland using our interior design team's favourite fabrics. The cushions vary in size, 45cm up to 60cm and each is supplied with a feather filled cushion inner. Let us help you find the perfect colour combination to add vibrancy and texture to every room. And, if you are unsure about any fabric we'd be delighted to send you a sample free of charge so you can check it out at home!

Our Paint & Paper Consultation is a service designed to help you choose the perfect paint colour and wall finish for your scheme. One of our friendly interior designers will spend time with you, giving you the benefit of their extensive experience and eye for colour and pattern. It's great if you can bring in photos of the room and any existing furnishings that need to be considered. Once you have received your samples and you have made final decisions on paint and papers we will put together your detailed scheme of decoration with clear instructions for your decorator.

All our soft furnishings are hand-made in house using only the best brands available, including recycled and natural fabrics. We create (and fit where applicable) cushions, curtains, made to measure. Standard delivery costs for UK Mainland is 6.95 and will arrive within 2-3 working days. Highlands standard delivery costs 7.95. Scottish Islands standard delivery costs 14.95. The above costs cover items up to 20 kilos. We are not able to deliver on bank holidays. We cannot accept responsibility for late deliveries due to unforeseen circumstances outside of our control.

Our interior design services are here to help you create the perfect look at home. For your comfort and safety all our design services will be by appointment only and the Acanthus showroom will be exclusively yours for the duration of your visit. We are also offering remote meetings for any clients who are shielding or unable to make it to the store.

We have an eclectic range of lamps to create a cosy atmosphere in every corner of your home. From rustic chunky lamp bases with Belgian linen shades to crystal chandeliers, we have the lighting for every aesthetic. We also stock fabulous pendant lighting and floor lamps from a variety of European companies.
