We now use the latest HevaComp and AutoCad design tools to produce highly effective, energy efficient air conditioning solutions in-house for today's modern marketplace but still retain the important qualities of experience, common sense and enthusiasm to do the job well.
Consistently successful installations led to Oakwood being asked to provide Planned Preventative Maintenance contracts. This became such a significant part of our business we decided to form a separate division of Oakwood and dedicate it solely to service and maintenance activities. Initially the Maintenance Division looked after air conditioning only, but this has grown over the years and we now offer full mechanical planned preventative maintenance contracts. Over the past few years we have developed a particular expertise in carrying out detailed condition surveys on existing M&E systems.
This city centre six-storey Grade II listed building has been up-graded to provide high quality office accommodation. As part of the planning consent, Manchester City Council Planning & Conservation team stipulated that the building's listed features should be on view which meant suspended ceilings could not be re-instated. This presented problems for the designers as ceiling voids are commonly used to conceal air conditioning equipment. The solution finally adopted was to install a Flexible Space under-floor air conditioning system throughout the office areas.
An example of one of many of the New Look Stores we carried out installation works for is the New Look Store in Guernsey. Oakwood were instructed by New Look Retailers to design and Install a heat recovery VRF and split packaged air conditioning system to include ventilation for the Guernsey outlet. The Value of the Guernsey project was 140,000.00 and was completed on time, on budget and in line with the New Look roll out program.
