King Architects

King Architects are an innovative, design led practice, based in East Lothian, and working on projects throughout Scotland. We are a hands on practice and can deliver on any project, regardless of location, scale or complexity. We have a particular passion for quality, sustainable, residential housing at all levels from alterations and extensions, individual one-off homes. With knowledge and experience of a wide range of building types and innovative construction methods our clients are offered an affordable, and complete service developed to exceed our clients aspirations.

Following design agreement, drawings are prepared and submitted for planning and listed building consent where required. King Architects were involved in testing and feedback of Scotland's 1st pioneeringelectronically prepared and submitted planning application in conjuction with The City of Edinburgh Council. Many applications are now lodged electronically on-line and this is our preferred method, which speeds upregistration and allows our client's to track and monitor progressof the application through the planning process.

King Architects aim to deliver unique architects' services to all in an accessible, easy-to-use, customer friendlyformat. Rather than appointing an architect to run the whole project on your behalf, King Architects offers you a choice. With King Architects you can use the skills and services of your architect as much or as little as you want. The service has been designed so that you can select those services that suit your budgetand your project. You may choose to use your architect across every aspect of the project or just simply for ideas and advice.
