This is one of the most expensive properties in Sandbanks but despite this fact and despite being only a few years old there were some problems with the construction. Ellis Belk were called in and we quickly diagnosed several serious defects with the balconies. The remedial works included stripping these balconies back to the structure, reconstructing the glass balustrades. The construction was undertaken by Greendale Construction Limited and we are delighted with the quality of work. We were the CDM-C/Principal Designer, architectural designers, employers agent and project managers.

Building pathology (defect analysis) describes the inspection, investigation, diagnosis and reporting of defects within buildings. As such Chartered Building Surveyors are better placed than any other profession to undertake building pathology reports and to oversee the necessary remedial works. Ellis Belk only employs highly experienced Chartered Building Surveyors to undertake building pathology reports and we believe that our reports are second to none. Our investigations usually start with the collation of any historic and background information - essentially a desktop survey.

We have extensive experience utilising modern methods of construction such as Beco blocks (Polystyrene Blocks filled with concrete), Timber Frame, and SIPs, to name but a few.
