Mr Sweeps

The primary reason for the sweeping of chimneys is to remove flammable creosote to aid in the prevention of chimney fires. These extremely fierce fires can be extremely dangerous and in a lot of cases lead to house fires. Secondary reasons for chimney sweeping and flues are to ensure a clear passage way which the toxic exhaust gasses can escape through. Sweeping your chimney will greatly reduce the build-up of creosote and soot, hence minimizing the risk of chimney fires. Soot falls and blockages.

I am a second generation chimney sweep learning my trade from my father who has been sweeping chimneys for over 30 years. It is important to have your chimneys swept regularly, at least annually, to remove soot and other debris, keeping you protected from potential chimney fires and validating your buildings insurance. We issue NACS certificates as required. We work to the codes of conduct and practice stipulated by NACS (The National Association of Chimney Sweeps).
