We are able to copy any original detail required when working on listed/protected buildings and in conservation areas. We have successfully installed hundreds of windows in the west London area, and would be happy to pass on any of our clients details should you request it. We make every effort to protect your home during the installation process, from covering your bookcases with plastic to protecting your carpets with carpet protector.
Most of our work comprises installing complete new double-glazed box sash windows or replacing or retro fit new double-glazed sash sliders into existing timber frames. After carefully protecting your room we will remove the old window and install the new one making good the plaster work immediately around the new installation. Windows will be fitted with high quality lifts, pulls, latches and safety locks so that they are fully functioning from the outset. No additional decorating will be needed on your window once we are finished.
Georgian and Victorian builders didn't work with standard window sizes, so I have to be ready for all eventualities and deliver a bespoke solution to each and every customer. To be honest, it is this that makes my trade so interesting. Handcrafting sash windows is a rewarding activity in itself. I am lucky enough to do something I love, and to get paid to do it. I took this photo of the finished bay window because I was very pleased with the sash windows I installed, as was the homeowner. However, I have now realised that I need bigger signage on my white van!
