Based in the North West of England, Thelwell Flooring Ltd provide specialist industrial flooring solutions across the UK and Channel Islands. We are industrial flooring contractors, supplying and installing waterproof flooring, epoxy floor and resin flooring among other specialist flooring services. Our high quality water proofing extends to roofing services as well. We specialise in high performance car park flooring, warehouse and factory flooring, and other large scale, fast turnaround solutions for busy environments where down time is costly.

Thelwell Flooring Ltd was founded on the belief that the needs of our customers should be first and foremost in the services that we deliver. This original premise still underpins the work we carry out, from retail flooring for small independent shops to the largest of airport flooring installations. We invest in the latest machinery to do the job to the highest standard - including equipment that can clean your existing floor surface and remove any dirt or debris at the same time, so there is no clean-up needed afterwards.

In many cases we can offer a specific surface finish for the unique demands of your premises - for example, resistance to oil for commercial automotive businesses, or anti static flooring for the electronics trade. But our general commercial flooring service is a great starting point if you're not sure if your premises need anything specific. You'll still get all of the advantages of poured resin - durability, bright colours and a seamless finish - and we'll be happy to advise on whether you need any extra primers or textures for enhanced grip.

Floor Preparation is part of every service we offer. Mike Thelwell Flooring Ltd understand and base every installation around the importance of the correct floor preparation. Using a variety of Techniques we ensure that the maximum bond is created before we install any products. We carry out all our preparation in-house with the use of specialist mechanical equipment that cleans off the concrete to remove any existing flooring residues, all surface contamination including oils, grease, paint, dirt and debris.

Resin flooring has inherent benefits for a wide range of uses, and especially for general industrial projects where you need a hard wearing, easy to clean surface. An industrial resin can be used indoors and outside, and the poured resin means the finished floor can be very flat and free from the trip hazards caused by the edges of traditional floor coverings. Resin can also be given a range of extra properties, depending on what you need, and this includes primer layers beneath the resin to protect against damp or oil.

Poured resin gives you a smooth, seamless surface that is able to stand up to any test, with primer layers below to give extra protection against specific threats like oil or damp, and surface treatments to give extra grip or remove static charges. Thelwell Flooring have all of the specialist equipment needed to install engineering flooring to the highest standard, as well as the technical expertise to get the job done quickly and cleanly. We can clean and prepare existing industrial flooring to make it ready for resin to be poured on top - so that your new surface is not just a cover-up of old damaged flooring, but is properly adhered to it for a completely smooth, durable finish that will outlast the usual expected life span.

Commercial kitchen flooring must be able to cope with all of the different wear and tear that is thrown at it, notably the heavy and regular foot traffic of chefs and kitchen porters moving around across the surface. Durable resin is a good starting point to provide a smooth, seamless surface that will not crack or peel over time, unlike most stick-on floor coverings like vinyl. It helps to reduce trip hazards both now and in the future, and can be used throughout your building and into outdoor areas, if you want a consistent floor through to delivery zones and storage areas.

Retail flooring needs all of the benefits of industrial flooring - a hard wearing, non-slip surface - but with aesthetic appeal and fast installation. Poured resin is ideal for all of these different demands, as it can be installed very quickly over an existing surface with just a little sensible preparation, which we can also carry out. Resin can be brightly coloured and incorporate logos and other contrasting colour elements, or designs can be added later using hard wearing epoxy paints. With the addition of aggregates into the epoxy mix for the top surface of the floor, they can also be given extra grip, creating anti slip flooring for outdoor areas, inside doorways where the floor may be wet, or anywhere where you want to add to the safety of employees and customers alike.

At Thelwell Flooring Ltd we are authorised suppliers and installers of liquid roofing & waterproofing approved Triflex & Tremco solutions. Triflex and Tremco manufacture the very best in cold applied liquid coating systems are suitable for both new builds & refurbishments. From highly versatile and durable weatherproof roofing, to ultra rapid cure times. We'll provide you with the ideal, cost effective solution based on your unique needs. Alpha Guard Bio is a two-part, polyurethane, liquid applied roofing system that can turn your older but still functional roof into a long-lasting, highly efficient weatherproofing system for a fraction of the cost of replacement.

Showroom flooring often has to cover a large open area and may need to withstand vehicles driving over it to their display positions - all of which poured resin is more than capable of doing. Unusually, industrial flooring can be used both indoors and outside - this offers the rare ability to have a consistent ground surface from your car park or delivery bay right through the interior of your showroom, and softening the physical boundary between the outdoors and inside. For premises with large sliding or folding doors, or vertical garage-style shutters, you can effectively remove the boundary completely, giving you one combined space to work with.

We specialise in industrial flooring for a wide range of different industries and sectors. Choose from the list below for more information about a specific sector, or contact us if you have a niche that is not listed here. The pages listed below cover the usual industries we encounter most often, but it is by no means an exhaustive list. Resin industrial flooring is versatile enough to work in almost any environment, both indoors and outdoors alike, and we are always more than happy to advise on whether a resin floor would be right for your premises.

With the right resin flooring, you don't have to compromise on grip under foot - anti slip surfaces can offer all of the benefits of resin, but with the addition of an aggregate to texturise the floor and reduce the risk of slipping. This is particularly beneficial in locations where the surface is likely to be wet on a regular basis, such as outdoors or in wet rooms, and it can also provide an extra degree of protection against slipping on a chemical or oil spill. Anti slip surfaces are not just for areas with heavy pedestrian foot traffic - it can also be beneficial on surfaces where vehicles pass over regularly.

Poured resin can be used inside and out - allowing you to give your factory a consistent surface from the interior out into any adjacent yards and delivery areas, so that new stock can be wheeled to and from its transportation without any problems. Resin is tough and hard wearing, so that you can have complete confidence in the surface put in place by Thelwell Flooring, and we can include aggregates in the epoxy mix if you need extra grip under foot or for vehicle tyres on ramps and slopes. Thelwell Flooring can offer the full service to replace your existing factory industrial flooring or lay a new factory surface from scratch, including all of the manpower, expertise and equipment that is needed for the job.
