Our business was established over 20 years ago in 1996, primarily with The John Lewis Partnership. Our early beginnings were producing solid wood sheesham furniture, antique reproduction furniture and The Maharani Furniture Collection for John Lewis. We have been a principal furniture supplier to John Lewis for 20 years and have supplied principal ranges of furniture to several large retailers in UK and Europe. Our core ranges of furniture such as Maharani, Stowaway, Samara, Cora, Surat & Casey furniture collections were/are or have been iconic in their own rights.

Capsbury is a strong believer in education and training of both ethical and manufacturing practices, our teams in both the UK and India work hard to achieve and monitor this. As a manufacturer of solid wood furniture produced in India, we are often asked what our stand is regarding timber sustainability. Capsbury works with timbers indigenous to India such as Sheesham (natively known as sisso), Mango (aam) or Acacia (kikar). India has an extensive forest policy, which states: The national goal should be to have a minimum of one-third of the total land area of the country under forest or tree cover.

Comprising of 5,000 sq meters of production and finishing areas, we use the best in class equipment for manufacturing solid wood furniture and other solid wood products. From Double side planers, Laser Guided Rip Saws, Tenoner's and Mortisor's, hydraulic automated clamp carriers and many more machines, we not only concentrate our efforts towards precision machining, assembly and sanding operations, but also house an enclosed temperature controlled, finishing line which allows a dust free environment for spray booth operations.
