We believe that by using long standing methods, although it is more time consuming, we are able to achieve an authenticated original finish. We professional hand finish using traditional methods by applying shellac using rubbers and mops, allowing time between coats to body up to a full mirror finish if required. We use the minerals and chemicals of the period of the furniture to achieve the desired colour: i.e. Potassium Permanganate & Bichromate of Potash. We use this skill when asked to put new extensions which have to match the existing wood in the table tops.
