Based near the village of Breedon-on-the-Hill, Leicestershire, Anderson Reeve specialises in making truly bespoke and personally designed handmade kitchens as well as other bespoke interiors. Throughout the design and concept stage, CAD drawings were provided that accurately displayed the final layout; these together with James's advice and guidance allowed us to quickly finalise a design that evolved into a highly effective and attractive working kitchen. James's technical and craftsmanship skills are exemplary; the final result was a perfectly finished installation of the very highest quality.
Our initial step is to meet you at your home where we will discuss the ideas you have for your furniture. We will then guide you through the design process, establishing all elements such as whether you would like a fitted or freestanding kitchen, and in a contemporary or traditional style. At this stage we will also take measurements and photographs to ensure that we have a clear idea of the available space. Following this initial meeting, we will go away and create a plan which we think will successfully incorporate your ideas and suit your lifestyle.
A traditional but modern take on a shaker-style kitchen. Working with the customer's brief, we wanted to do our upmost to incorporate everything that they wished for whilst making sure that there was no compromise on the overall design and practicality of the furniture. We wanted to create different zones within the kitchen to compartmentalise this extensive space whilst subtly linking it together through the overall design. For example, we used symmetrical pot cupboards either side of the Wolf cooker and installed a faux chimney breast above to create a visual cooking area.
We combine the best of both conventional and contemporary cabinet making techniques in order to create the highest quality manufacturing methods. This ensures maximum quality is always maintained. The fascias and doors of our furniture are made using timbers that are much thicker than average, which makes certain there is minimum movement. The fascias are joined using traditional mortise and tenoned joints which are renowned for their stability. The doors are joined using tenons and grooves so as to improve the strength of our furniture.

Once again James has delivered a masterpiece!
James originally designed, built and installed our bespoke kitchen - which still looks stunning 2 years on.
On this basis we commissioned James to design, build and install a bespoke integrated cupboard and window seat. The results are beyond exceptional, I only wish I could share an image so you can see just what I mean. It has transformed a once redundant space on our landing area into an intimate, cosy place, where I can sit and admire our garden and read bedtime stories to our son. I cannot recommend James highly enough and would not hesitate to refer him what ever your need.

James of Anderson Reeve co-designed, built and installed our living room furniture/entertainment centre in two stages over the last year. We honestly couldn't have been more impressed, he was a pleasure to work with and we are delighted with our end product. It has taken nearly six months to write this review (sorry James) but at least now we can properly endorse the craftsmanship and quality of materials as we have had no issues at all and the piece still looks as perfect today as it did upon installation. We would wholeheartedly recommend Anderson Reeve to anyone thinking of commissioning any bespoke furniture, you will not be disappointed.

In Spring 2015 we decorated our master bedroom and searched high and low for 2 bedside tables and 2 matching sets of drawers to fit an unusual sized space. After an extensive and fruitless search we realised that having hand-made, bespoke furniture was the only way that we would get exactly what we wanted, so we contacted James Reeves. James came to measure up and talk to us about how he builds each piece for each client. We also decided to investigate have him completely fitting out our home office with bespoke bookcase, cupboards and desk, as our requirements were also very specific for this room. James discussed every little detail, working out all our best options on usage of space, aesthetics and price, and then he quoted for both rooms. At this point he informed us that he was busy for 12 months and that there would be a considerable wait before he was available to manufacture and install our furniture. Not wanting to ‘spoil the ship for a ha’ porth of tar’, we agreed that this was not an issue. We had already decided that we actively wanted James to do the bedroom and office furniture because we had been very impressed with the care and attention we had received from James during our dialogues about the design. From initial consultation to delivery and installation, James demonstrated professionalism and attention to detail exceeding our expectations. He patiently re-drew designs and drawings to address issues as they arouse and worked closely with us every step of the way. We are absolutely thrilled with the results. James is a gifted craftsman and his work is thorough and meticulous. Each room is exactly how we envisaged it and we cannot praise James highly enough for his ability to bring our wishes to such stunningly beautiful (and subsequently much-admired) reality. James has just completed our bespoke kitchen and the result has surpassed our expectations. From the moment we met James we felt assured he understood how we wanted to use the space and presented some creative solutions to challenging spaces/problems. Throughout, from design through to delivery, he was communicative and responsive to our needs. The quality of his work is exceptional and we would not hesitate in recommending him. My husband and I have already started a list of potential projects to discuss with James.

James Reeve provided us with a superb bespoke kitchen this summer ( 2014 ). Everything about it is brilliant from the initial design through to installation and completion. The craftsmanship in terms of the units and fittings is of the highest standard and the final result is a new, bright and more spacious looking kitchen which is a pleasure to work in. James project managed the whole process professionally and we were extremely pleased with how smoothly and reliably everything fell into place. The different tradespeople commissioned by James were all of a very high standard of work and reliability. Everything happened in the timescale we agreed and we always felt that we were given clear information and treated with great care and courtesy. James is a great guy to have to provide a service and a product of this excellent quality and we recommend Anderson Reeve unreservedly.
