Many of the items of furniture and electrical items which we discard from households are in good working order - tens of thousands of items of re-usable furniture are sent to landfill in the UK every day. It is important that we reuse these items where possible or recycle them if they are not fit for reuse. The project operates by collecting donations of household items from the public locally, free of charge. The items are inspected, and where required, refurbished to ensure they meet safety and cleanliness standards.
