After over 25 years of importing furniture for Business Resale - the Government along with the EUTR have decided we can no longer offer this service. This will be disappointing for all of the customers who have used us for their imported furniture in the past - as we used to include Carriage by shipping containers to the UK. The Good news - We can now offer a Direct service from the Factory to you but now there are freight costs. We have enabled you to deal DIRECT with the factory for personal imports ( We merely earn commission on sales ).

Finesse Furniture began trading in 1993 - importing high quality " Chinese rosewood" furniture into the UK for resale at sensible prices. Our furniture is still largely Bench Made by skilled Craftsmen. Only the finest Quality Kiln dried timber from Burma, West Africa, Middle Africa and Subtropical areas of south east Asia is used to produce our range of furniture to ensure the feel and look of Quality in each piece. The timber is all sourced from ethically managed and sustainable plantations. Using the traditional method of Chinese Double Interlocking Joints - and floating centre panels to allow for expansion these pieces are extremely robust - despite their classic lines.

All of our furniture is manufactured in southern China by a single supplier who we consider is amongst the very best of rosewood manufacturers to be found anywhere in China. There are numerous other "imitators" who build furniture which is similar in appearance but not in durability or quality. This manufacturer is one of only a few who take the trouble and the time required in the manufacturing process to ensure that all the timber used is properly and adequately kiln dried so as to avoid problems with shrinkage and cracking.

The factory will send a photo like this once your furniture is made - so you can check everything is as expected. Once approved the goods then go for Packing ( Foam and Corrugated ) and this is then crated - and sent for shipping. At this point all documents and insurance policy are Air Mailed to you. The local agent at Southampton will contact you on arrival to take payment of VAT and Port Fees - and you can then collect your furniture - or arrange a home delivery.
