Clock House Furniture

Clock House Furniture is based 25 miles from Edinburgh in the heart of rural East Lothian. First started in 1989, Clock House moved to a new purpose-built workshop in 2012, where we employ a team of skilled joiners, upholsterers and specialist finishers to make all the furniture on site. Stools, Chairs and Tables are all made to order to customer's specifications in an infinite range of styles and dimensions. Club Fenders, Ottomans, TV Ottomans and upholstered Cupboards are also a speciality. In 2005 Clock House started making Antler Furniture, and this has now become a major part of the business: Chandeliers, Candlesticks, Lamps, Mirrors, Chairs, Stools and Tables are all made to order from Scottish Red Deer and Fallow Deer Antlers.

From large upholstered Armchairs, to Dining Chairs, Clock House make a full range of very comfortable seating. Made with solid beech frames and hardwood legs (Oak, Ash, Mahogany or Beech) all our chairs are made to order at our workshop in Scotland. Many of our chairs are based on classic designs from historic houses.

The items in this section are a selection of ONE-OFF pieces of hand crafted furniture which include the fabric in the picture. They have been significantly reduced in price. What is the difference between a Pouffe and a Stool? At Clock House we say that a Stool has legs, and a Pouffe is upholstered to the ground, but this is not an exact science, and we have yet to find a better word to describe a large upholstered piece of furniture that goes in the middle of a room. These designs have infinite variations; can be made any size and shape with different upholstery detail. Many shapes can also be adapted to have an opening lid.
