I co-founded Sorell in 2012 with my old school friend David Buchanan Dunlop after spending a couple of years working by myself designing and making bespoke furniture. I now run Sorell by myself but still with the same aims and ethos that we began with back in 2012 - always seeking to make beautifully crafted pieces of furniture and home accessories to the highest standards, designed to meet the individual aspirations of our clients. Find out more about our approach to achieving this here- Bespoke Process.

We can design and make any piece of furniture to your exact requirements, whether it be a freestanding dining table or a fully fitted kitchen. As with all items that we make, our bespoke pieces are designed with a keen eye for detail and built to an exceptionally high standard. Commissioning a piece of bespoke furniture is a close collaboration where we take time to understand your needs and tailor the approach to suit each project. Our flexible approach to design can be seen in the wide variety of projects and styles we have been commissioned to make in the past.

Fitting the new to the (very old) can be a challenge. We like a challenge. Solid oak shelving scribed to the stonework with hidden fixings/ supports. Part of our work on a full flat renovation by Izat Arundell (https:// www.izatarundell.com) in Edinburgh's Grassmarket back in October of last year.
