With many different types of slates to choose from we will endeavour to find the right slate for your property. Laying slates to a roof isn't as simple as just putting them on, first of all we must ensure the roof has the correct amount pitch to it. Like all roofing products slates can only be laid on roofs with a certain amount of degrees. If there is not enough pitch to a roof, there are many other products available to overcome this issue.
Here at ELC Roofing Ltd we carry out a lot of work insulating properties for our customers. A highly popular insulation which is laid on the top of the rafters, this is after a counter batten has been fixed horizontally to the rafter itself. Once the Triso is laid on top of the counter battens all joints are sealed, followed by the fixing of the tile battens. This is done to achieve an air gap of 25mm to allow the roof to breathe. Celotex is one of the most popular insulations on the market, it can be laid to walls, floors and roofs.
Here at ELC Roofing we cover a wide range of jobs including Guttering services, we carry out repairs where possible and also complete overhauls of guttering systems. UPVC Guttering is used nationwide in the UK and offers guttering systems at reasonable prices. For small to mediums sized properties we mostly use half round guttering, available in black or white. For larger properties with larger roof areas we would use a deep flow guttering system. Deep flow guttering takes a lot more water than standard guttering and is not a huge amount more expensive.
At ELC Roofing we offer a few different options when it comes to Torch on Felt flat roofs. We offer three Torch on Felt products with different guarantees periods to suit your requirements, these are 10 years, 15 years and 18 years with all the Felt being made by IKO. IKO's range of torch-applied systems is second to none. Torch-on membranes have an underside which has been pre-treated with a covering of thermofusible bitumen. This covering is then heated with a propane gas torch and the membrane is applied to the surface of the roof while the bitumen is still hot.
