Thomas Armstrong (Timber) Limited was established as a subsidiary of Thomas Armstrong Limited in 1964. The main activity of the company at start up was that of manufacturing timber components for the bed industry. Gradual expansion over the years has seen the company move into other furniture component manufacturing areas linked to the bed industry, whilst the development of our pallet manufacturing and roof truss design and production facilities have continued apace. We have also recently moved into timber frame in 2008 along with manufacturing metal web "Space Joists".

CHC Floors have been supplying our flooring products to major contractors throughout the country for nearly two decades. From the smallest house extension to some of the largest most prestigious contracts in the UK. This key acquisition expanded the group's prestressed concrete products portfolio significantly and complements the group's existing ACP Concrete Products Ltd company. CHC Floors offer a full service from conceptual advice to design, manufacture, delivery and installation, providing a fast, accurate and competitive estimating service for all your flooring needs.

Thomas Armstrong Bespoke Joinery is part of Thomas Armstrong (Construction) Limited, based at the Flimby complex, and providing bespoke joinery items for everyone from private individuals to Local Authorities. Our fully equipped and staffed Joiners Shop is capable of providing a range of elegant and creative solutions to any joinery situation, large or small, and catered to your individual needs.

Established in 1830, in Cockermouth, Cumbria, Thomas Armstrong (Construction) Limited has grown into a major contractor for the construction of building and civil engineering projects with regional offices in Lancaster, Catterick and Hamilton. With the main administrative operations centred around the Group Headquarters in West Cumbria, our fully staffed and serviced Regional Offices can offer flexibility in completing projects throughout the North East and North West of England, and Central and Southern Scotland, over a range of expertise and requirements.

Thomas Armstrong Mechanical & Electrical (formerly know as 'Plumbing & Heating) is a subsidiary of Thomas Armstrong (Construction) Limited, and one of the largest employers of ACS registered advanced plumbing and heating engineers in Cumbria, currently employing over 50 local engineers. We aim to provide our customers with a high quality service developed through years of experience in a broad range of environments, both in new and existing properties. Our skill and expertise ranges from commercial, industrial and residential plumbing and heating installations to long term service and maintenance agreements.
