Marriotts Furnishers is a family run furniture and carpet retailers located in Portsmouth, Hampshire. Marriotts Furnishers was formed in 1926 by Ted Marriott. In those days most small retail furniture shops made their own bespoke furniture, Marriott's was no exception. We began by manufacturing, upholstery recovering and cabinet making. During the war (1939 - 1945) our premises was converted a wardens post and in 1948 the showroom was expanded to incorporate 91 New Road. Over the next few decades the premises has developed into what you see today covering 91 - 103 New Road Portsmouth. What has not changed over the past 94 years is our desire to sell quality & keenly priced furniture with a fantastic level of service to all our customer in Hampshire and the surrounding areas.
Our Portsmouth showroom offers a large selection of suites, occasional furniture, carpeting, dining furniture & bedroom furniture at competitive prices, all on display to suit your requirements, with immediate delivery on stock items. We also stock a wide range of riser/recliner chairs for ultimate comfort. As with all of our soft furnishings there are various options of fabrics and leathers for you to choose from and with a wide spectrum of traditional to modern furniture, there is something for everyone.
Marriotts are now open for walk-ins between 09.30-16.30. However, if you are interested in purchasing a riser recliner an appointment is still required due to limited space for social distancing.
