Cowley House is the combined work of sisters Fiona Cowley and Gwyneth Harris. We share a love of colour, design and things beautifully handmade to last and give pleasure for decades. Growing up, home was on the east coast of South Africa in KwaZulu-Natal, immersed in a unique mix of Indian, African and European cultures. Teenage years were spent visiting colourful spice markets, browsing through stores offering products sourced in India from exquisite, jewel-shaded silk saris embroidered with elegant paisley motifs, to exotic colourful jewellery all of which were an integral part of our teenage wardrobes.
