D J Mace and Son (Electrical Contractors) Ltd was started in 1977 by David Mace after working for Callas Sons & May within Reading for 20 years. The business grew slowly building a close but loyal customer base, some of whom the company still work with today. In 1982 the company became members of the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Engineers ( NICEIC) holding 'Approved Contractor' status, a position we still hold today. In 1984 David's son, Philip, joined as an apprentice and completed a full 5 year apprenticeship becoming a fully qualified Electrician.
All aspects of domestic electrical installations, from complete re-wiring to extra sockets. Including installation of low voltage down lights and fuseboard changes. We offer a complete design and installation service for new houses, including lighting design and low energy lighting compliance.
