PROJECT BRIEFEast Manchester Youth Zone is committed to providing the highest quality of support to young people and are keen to invest in the best facilities, including LED lighting. Steon's lighting designers were tasked with creating a scheme for the whole facility. The requirements of these areas were diverse with varied activities taking place within them; including a climbing wall, performing arts studio, fitness suites, recording studios and other communal and reception areas. Project BriefSteon Lighting were approached to design, manufacture and deliver a solution which would improve overall lux levels and conserve energy whilst also ensuring compliance with emergency lighting standards.
Interior wall luminaires are available in a diverse range of styles, light sources and IP ratings. Not only are their appearances varied, as are the lighting effects that they provide. With wall luminaires in application an area's aesthetic can be elevated.
In addition to commercial lighting design and consultancy, Steon Lighting also offers a fully comprehensive and exclusive product design service to create bespoke luminaires should the job require a product commissioned to a particular specification. Our dedicated in-house team are on hand to produce high quality visuals which not only enable us to conceptualise products to clients, but also allow our clients to view the end product. The team also consider ease of installation and energy efficiency in their designs, and as all our products are manufactured on site, spares, should they be required, are not an issue.
BS 5266-1 details emergency lighting requirements for public areas, we offer a dedicated range of emergency luminaires to aid compliance with these guidelines. These luminaires are available with maintained and non-maintained options, and can incorporate self test and DALI functions. Central battery options are available on request.
